This past Sunday night at The Mothlight was chock-full of chill jams and good times thanks to Chastity Belt and Darren Hanlon. The warmth of the music was welcomed on the surprisingly chilly summer night. Both acts are well-loved by many and it was amazing to see them come together and do their thing for the excited folks crowding the West Asheville venue.

Despite it being 2017, pop punk is very much alive and well thanks to a thriving scene of young and old musicians keeping the whiny guitar-driven flame burning bright. Tomorrow night at The Orange Peel, the brash and saucy veterans of the scene Bowling For Soup will bring their pop punk party to Asheville. Openers Save Ferris will add to the night's festivities and serve as the perfect appetizer to the entree of Soup.

This Sunday night, get ready for a double shot of wonderful, because Darren Hanlon will be joining Chastity Belt on their international tour, and they'll be making a stop at well-loved West Asheville venue The Mothlight. If you're feeling like maybe you don't have quite enough amazing music in your life then this is probably the show for you.

This past Tuesday night at the Mothlight was a nonstop dance party. You can always count on the Haywood Rd. venue to deliver interesting acts in a comfortable atmosphere, and Tuesday night was definitely no different. Black Marble and Body of Light came together for a stunning night of ultra-cool music.
