Tuesday Night Funk Jam - Asheville Music Hall

The famed funk jam takes place every Tuesday night at Asheville Music Hall and features musicians from all different genres.  Although it is just a jam, the music can get pretty heavy at times and rock your socks off. The show is free with a later start of 11 PM.  If you're looking to get down to some funk, get down to the Asheville Music Hall on Tuesdays.

Here's what Asheville Music Hall had to say... "Every Tuesday at Asheville’s One Stop. This weekly jam is an amazing opportunity for musicians to network while refining their musical chops, and for the people who support our scene to shake their hips to the best funk around!"

Bluegrass Jam - Isis Music Hall

What started out on the smaller, upstairs stage has quickly grown to host some of the great bluegrass musicians in the region.  The event ususally featues a set, three or four piece, bluegrass band to lead. The stage eventually opens up to anyone who wants to jam and you never know who may make an appearance.  Starting a 6 pm and going till late in the evening, Isis's bluegrass jam is a great, free, and regular event that helps grow the Asheville music community.

Here's what Isis has to say... "Every Tuesday evening Isis presents the Bluegrass Sessions . The sessions are hosted each week by a local bluegrass musician with friends or a band. Bluegrass musicians from the Asheville area gather to jam on stage in a constantly rotating basis. Occasionally, we will feature a touring band that will perform prior to the open session and help co-host the jam. We'll also be featuring our special Bluegrass Session's Menu that night as well. It's always a great evening of music. FREE - Doors open 5:00 PM - All Ages Show -"

Two For Tuesdays - Asheville Music Hall
The aptly named Two For Tuesdays provides two, local or touring, bands at Asheville Music Hall every Tuesday. Oh and it's for the reasonable price of $2, too :)  This event is one of best places to see up and coming bands.  *Hint: Grab a bit to eat before the show downstairs at The One Stop and then stick around afterwards for the Tuesday Night Funk Jam.
Asheville Music Hall says... "This is a showcase, a chance for bands to show us what they got! Geniass Productions is looking for bands to play a great show, bring a good crowd and are eager to share their music with the Asheville live music community. Show us how passionate you are about your music, and perhaps you will earn the chance to play a primetime slot at The One Stop. We will poll at the door to see who came to see what band. - First band plays from 8-8:45PM and the second from 9-9:45PM."  Facebook Page
