Destroyer comes to The Grey Eagle

What started out as a solo music project back in 1995 in Vancouver has turned into something much bigger for Dan Bejar. Destroyer is still going strong 23 years later and Bejar continues providing pure musical wonderment for any of those who press play. This upcoming Monday night he'll be playing a show at The Grey Eagle with Mega Bog.

First it was an electric folk record, then a few years later a rhythm section was added, and it's just never stopped evolving for Destroyer. Each new album shows off a different side of Bejar, with his beautiful instrumentation and bizarre lyrics painting on your soul like a blank canvas. Ken is the most recent LP offering and was released last October.

Opener Mega Bog hails from Seatlle, WA and excels at creating lo-fi awesomeness that expands your mind. Led by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Erin Birgy, the pop rock music project put out their third album Happy Together last year. With this solid opener up first and then Destroyer on next, attendees to this show should be warned that they're witnessing some next level musical realness.
