No, you're not in California and you're not dreaming. Brian Wilson himself, along with fellow Beach Boys Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin, will be playing at the US Cellular Center this Thursday night in celebration of Pet Sounds 50th anniversary. The once-in-a-lifetime show will mark the first time Brian Wilson has played here in Asheville.

May 16th, 1966 was the day the world got introduced to the experimental and insanely influential album that is now heralded as one of the greatest musical releases of all time. Pet Sounds was the 11th studio album to come from The Beach Boys, even though the majority of the release can all be accredited to the eccentric mind of frontman Brian Wilson.

Wilson's perfectionist and avant-garde approach to the album launched it to the top of the charts, and the rest is history. Thursday night's show will see Wilson performing Pet Sounds in its entirety, in addition to other hits that have spanned his lengthy musical career. Don't miss out on the good vibrations!
